Getting The Most From Your LifeTrail System
Whether you are a program director for a private residential facility or a public park and recreation department, your new LifeTrail needs to be used to be effective. Playworld Systems provides free, with each LifeTrail purchase, a helpful programming package to assist you in encouraging maximum use of your LifeTrail.
The Programming Package contains an instructional video (DVD) with simple step-by-step instructions for each Wellness Station. It also includes a CD with printable materials including a Training Manual/Video, Programming Guide and Promotional Materials that can be personalized.
In the past, "fitness trails" have been built in parks and other outdoor areas to encourage exercise and fitness. These trails have not been used very heavily, primarily because:
- They weren't fun.
- They were designed for too young and/or too physically fit a user group.
- They assumed people would use the trail informally without any promotion, special events, contests, games, awards, and formal recreation programming done in conjunction with such trails.
