(August 28, 2007) - Playworld Systems, Inc. has signed on to become the preferred supplier of park and playground equipment for baseball Hall-of-Famer Cal Ripken Jr. and Ripken Management & Design, LLC. The partnership includes building play structures at Ripken Baseball owned and operated minor league facilities and youth sports complexes. The structures are currently scheduled for Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland, Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Georgia, and The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. “Minor league baseball and youth sports are about providing play, entertainment, and fun for all ages,” Ripken Jr. said. “Playworld playgrounds give us an outstanding option at all of our locations and are vital elements that keep families coming back to our complexes year after year.” |

Ripken Baseball owns two minor league teams, the Aberdeen Ironbirds and the Augusta Greenjackets. The teams’ stadiums feature “Kid Zones” for their young fans that offer playgrounds, inflatables, and baseball clinics.
